Will AI replace screenwriters? Perhaps one day.
But what’s more likely in the short term is that AI will be used as a tool by screenwriters… and those writers will replace the ones who resist AI.
AI-Generated movie images (and maybe even entire films in the future) hold a lot of promise. Imagine if copyright-free stills could be made for each sequence (or even every scene) so that a writer could better convey their message/mode/tone to a producer/director/another writer.
I’ve been playing around with creating images from screenplays (similar to film posters, but without any writing) and that’s what you see on each screenplay analysis.
